We were talking about the sardines at the Larkhall group on Thursday and
then started talking about unusual recipes. Agnes came up with a brilliant
recipe for Corned Beef Pate. Click
Here to read
it.

I don't bother about the bones. I eat them head first: eyes, teeth and lips as well.

I'd like to know how many people remove the bones from sardines before eating them? |

I don't know but I suppose this Coffee Shop is a sort of Learning forum. |

Does anyone know where there is a local learning forum where learners can share their ideas and problems? |

Does anybody else fancy setting up a readers' group for learners? The group would all read the same book and then could discuss it here on this page. |

This web site can be a great thing for South Lanarkshire's learners. |

Ref your query
as to what a caper is. I work in the kitchens at the Avonbridge
where you held your meeting. We have a rather large jar of them there.
The caper is in fact a flower bud. In that respect it may be
classed as a fruit. They are normally bought pickled and can be
used in sauces but I like a small sprinkling of them in a mixed salad.

Grapes are my favourite fruit. They don't look like capers. |

I thought a caper was a carry on. |

A caper is a seed pod actually! |

I thought a bramble was a fruit; it tastes like a fruit! |

A caper is not a bramble, it is a fruit or a berry. |

A caper as mentioned in a recipe for posh hamburgers is a bramble and is used in sauces. |
