Curried Peas

 

Ingredients:

 

3 medium Carrots

4 medium Potatoes (boiled and cooked)

½ cup of Canned Tomato

2 medium Onions

1 ½ cups Peas (frozen)

½ cup of water

1 ½ tsp Cumin Seeds

2 whole Red Chillies

¼ tsp Sugar

3 tbsp Oil

2 tsp Garam Masala

 

Method:

 

1   Peel the carrots and dice them into small pieces

2  Dice the potato into equal pieces (4 pieces each)

3  Peel and chop onions coarsely

4  Heat oil in a pot

5  Add cumin seeds when it starts spluttering

6  Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes

7  Add carrots, stir for a minute and add the tomato

8  Add ½ cup of water, bring to the boil and then turn to a very

    low heat and cover the pan.

9   Cook until carrots are tender

10 Add potatoes, peas, salt, sugar and garam masala

11  Stir and cook for a few minutes

12  Serve hot with chapatti
