Going Fishing

Sea fishing is a relaxing sport that a lot of people may think that's boring. On the other hand, it is peaceful with the sounds of the water hitting off the rocks, waves racing in off the beach and with the odd sound of owls and the constant splashes from the waves. This side of fishing is relaxing as when you're away you can make your mind all blank and forget everything that was going on at home.

I started fishing about 15 years ago. This was supposed to be a one off and only during the day but now it's both night and day. What got me hooked was the relaxation of the sport. Seeing other members of the public catch a good fish makes you more determined to catch one too.

Fishing as a hobby is expensive, but if you only wanted to do it on the odd occasion then it can be cheap. With the cheap way a rod, reel, some line with hooks and bait is needed. The dear way is expensive so we will leave that to your own imagination.

The exciting part about fishing is planning ahead. Your mind works overtime from time to time. It starts when you pick the venue. What bait to use, what rig, what type of weight because of the ground and tide, what size of hooks the list can go on and on.

My response to a good catch is my legs go to jelly and I am on cloud 9 for the rest of the trip. The only part about fishing I hate is packing up to come home!

I have gad a go at sea fishing Derek but prefer it from the boat, rather than off the pier or the rocks.
