The following stories relate to the Scottish Premier League Reading Stars programme.    The project ran in conjunction with the SPL, South Lanarkshire Council Libraries (Jackie) and Adult Literacy and Numeracy (Janet) staff from the Community Learning Service.

Our reading champion was Tomas Cerny, goalkeeper of Hamilton Accies, who visited the group and the group were also invited to see his team play against Motherwell.

Mark Thomson, poet and author, came to a group session and encouraged parents and children to have “Fun” with words and to write in Scots language.
