ETERNITY

by George Ross Glen

Up the garden path

She walks,

Flowers bend

As if to bow

To her beauty.

Sunshine streams

Through her hair

Like the golden strains

Of a heavenly song

Long forgotten.

Coming through the door,

Silence carries her

On wings of doves.

Angels are her friends

God is her saviour.

She reaches out

To take my hand,

Beckoning. I cross over

And join her,

For Eternity has come

For me

And I will take

My place with her

And our Lord

Forever and ever
