First Date
We were young on our first date
still at school never out late..
Just fourteen and so in love
people asked is that your bruv..
Can't believe four years have gone
we're married now and still alone..
It's amazing what life throws at you
one and then it turned into two..
Two little smiling angel faces
that would melt your heart..
In all the write places
we give in to all their crazes..
Before you know it's time for school
growing up is very cool..
From 5 to 7, 9 then 11
then it's teens oh! my heavens..
Now these two have flown the nest
a place of their own it's for the best..
Do they know what to do
I don't care and I've not a clue..
No more shouting squealing fighting
no more washing drying ironing..
Now they know what I had to do
I don't miss it at all, do you?..
We're on our own us two at last
no pounding music for to blast..
The house has peace tranquility
visiting is good, but you can't stay.
