Daughter Be Safe

Oh My daughter,
my angel, my beautiful princess.
As a child was happy,
wrapped round me as tight as a snake.
I took care of you,
and kept you safe.
Now you are older,
now the daughter I don't know.
Sad, oh so Sad!
I say to myself, where did you go?
Did I do wrong?
What could I change?
You've moved on now.
Jumping so far.
Not thinking!
Not thinking!
Our world is not safe.
Oh my daughter remember,
remember one thing.
I'll love you forever!
No matter where you've been.

Thanks Yvonne.  This is a very powerful poem full of emotion.   Full of hope as well.
