Ganny's Recess Bed

Remembering granny's big recess bed
It went half way up the wall and it didn't have legs
A cave down below filled with treasures abound
We would hide in there and couldn't be found
With an eiderdown quilt puffy and bright
To keep us all snug and cosy at night
There was granny me and my big sister
We two would dive into her big bed together
Laughing and giggling we thought it fun
My sister and I lying bum to bum
I got the warmest place in the middle
Being the youngest and very little
When out went the light for the night
It was so dark it gave you a fright
A red glowing fire dancing shadows on the wall
These precious memories we have them all...

And precious memories like these should never die.   Thanks for puting them down for all to see.
