What Drugs Can Do

Voices, Voices
In your head.
Telling you, you are dead.
Voices, Voices
In the TV and Radio
You see!
Now you think,
You see!
Lamb to the slaughter.
Why would that be.
They think you've killed
You say,
But that's not me.
They take you away
and throw away the key.

Yvonne has answered my question, see below

Poem what drugs can do.

The first 'you see!' Just means "you understand". I think only a person, who has had or has know a person with a mental illness because of drugs or other wise would understand.

The second one. 'Now you think you see!'. Just means the person has killed but doesn't realize it. "Like he isn't seeing clearly". Also lamb just means young and innocence.

I wasn't going to put the poem on the web site. As I didn't think people would understand, what I had writen. Thanks for your coment anyway.

Yvonne, I guess that's what poetry is partly about.

Songs are like poems with music added, and people read into them different things- none of them wrong. It was good though to see what the author of the poem was meaning when this was written.
