When I first started watching "Coronation Street", it was very good.   I especially liked Elsie Tanner, Ena Sharples, Bette Lynch and Dennis, Elsie's son.   They were people who had their faults but they were still likeable.   They were people I could watch and who I cared about.

Nowadays it is not as good.   I feel I cannot have any respect for a lot of the characters and they don't hold my interest or attention any more.

Not just Coronation Street but most of the other 'soaps' as well.
