My Summer Book Review

If you've got an appetite for Crime and Mystery you'll love this book:
                       A Kind Of Wild Justice
                       By Hilary Bonner
                       341 pages

This is a fiction book based on fact.

In summer 1980 The Beast of Dartmoor struck.   An innocent 17 year old girl was tortured and brutally raped then left to die.  A young man stood trial at Exeter Crown Court but was acquitted.

It gets worse for the victim's family as they didn't get the justice they deserved then and now  20 years later a DNA test proved that the same man was guilty of that cruel and vicious crime.  By law he can't be tried for the same crime twice.

Joanna Bartlett the crime correspondent who covered the case in 1980, starts to delve into the past that she can't bear to remember and also the steamy love affairs she had with the police detective on the case.

I found it exciting but a challenging read.

Thank you Shirley.

You don't mince your words, do you Shirley.  Enough to make me want to read it.  Thanks
