Thanks for the review Marjorie but I disagree.

I went to see the same production in Inverness and left half way through.

That probably had nothing to do with the actors, Sue Pollard was very good, but more to do with the story which I just could not get into.

Horses for courses so they say.

Annie

I recently went to the theatre to see the show called Annie. I have had it out on DVD and enjoyed it very much. But to see it on stage with them. If you have not seen or heard of ‘Annie’ it is an orphan girl who lived in Boston USA who went from rags to riches. In the children’s home where Annie and her friends live with a miss Hannigan who looked after them. She was very mean but Annie was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. A lady was sent by a man called Daddy Warbucks to invite a child to spend Christmas with him.

Sue Pollard, who played Miss Hannigan, was very funny. All the girls who played their parts were excellent but the girl playing Annie was the best. She put her whole heart into it. The music was so catchy like ‘Tomorrow’, ‘Easy Street’ and a hard knock life’. It made you feel as if you where performing on stage with them.

If you ever get the chance to go to the theatre ‘Annie’ is one not to miss.
