Review of the Eva Cassidy Biography

Have you ever enjoyed listening to Eva Cassidy singing "Over the Rainbow"? If you have, you'll probably like her biography written by Rob Burley and Jonathan Maitland as much as I did. I borrowed it from the Biography section at Blantyre Library. It's medium length and an easy book to read with just 159 pages. There are lots of colourful photos in the book which I found helpful because it was interesting to see what she looked like in person as she is a great singer.

This book was very touching and interesting because it was sad as she didn't get to fulfill her ambition to finish her singing career. It also was a book which when I started to read it I could not put it down. Until I read this book, I didn't realise that she died at the age of 33 years. I recommend this book to anyone who loves music like I do. I have enjoyed Eva's songs so much that I went and read her life story which was really interesting.

Thank you Margaret.

It seems such a shame that Eva died before her talent was recognised worldwide.

I'm going to borrow it from Hamilton Library, or get them to order it up.
