The Dare by John Boyne. I enjoyed this short story. Its about a 12 year old boy and his family. How they cope through a family tragedy during the summer. The book shows how, so many people are affected by the things that happen, like accidents and the decisions we make in life. We just don't realise how many peoples lives change because of our actions. In this peculiar story three families are affected because of what happened, but in real life there was probably a lot more. The book is sad, but with a happy ending. I wonder whether Sarah ever told her parents what really happened? In my group I was the first one finished the six book challenge. I thought may be next time, for the ones who have done the challenge to do an eight or even a ten book challenge. |
