Back to My Roots As an apprentice in the 70s I worked in council houses in Hamilton as an electrician. One house I will always remember. There was two sisters and one brother living there. When you walked in the door you were hit by the smell of polish. When I walked into the kitchen I was amazed to see even the copper water pipes were polished like they were new pennies! Archie

Webmaster replies Archie, it's funny how you remember things like that. I remember a shop once and when I hear the name of the shop it makes me remember the smell of that shop. Does that happen to anybody else? Contact us if you want to comment on Archie's article. |
