                                         What am I?

I am exotic and beautiful and from Central America, but you can find me in the fruit and veg section in some supermarkets.

I weigh about 150-600g and I have a colourful pink rubbery surface with green jaggy looking scales.

I get my name from a mythical monster, because I look like one.

My insides are soft and white, but I look grey because of the black edible seeds I have through out.

I dont have any smells and I taste very watery and bland, although I might not be delicious, I'm very nutricious.
I'm not cheap, I am expensive, and I'm very rare.

I might look off putting, but can you tell me what am I?.
