I really liked working with the cats and dogs, they looked forward to seeing me when I worked there on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

It was good fun working there, I cared about them when I worked there. I got on with the owners and everyone else ok.

I wanted to go back to work there, now that the dogs were taken care of up at the kennels in Carnwath.

The kennel owners were good to the animals, it was good fun there, I really miss it so much, I wanted to take them home with me.

In the next article Mary tells us a bit more about cats and dogs
Cats are usually pregnant for six weeks and can have one kitten up to ten at one time.   Kittens can be taken away from their mother after six weeks or round abouts.   Kittens feed from their mothers teats until they are are about six weeks and can fend for themselves.

Cats can be territorial.   They mark their territory by urinating.  Cats are good at climbing and can be very playful and they ambush their prey.   Cats like cat meat and they also like chicken, fish, tuna and treats.   Wild cats will eat birds, mice, rats, fish and anything to survive.

Dogs are usually pregnant for nine weeks.   Dogs can have from one up to ten puppies at one time.   Dogs will feed from their mothers up to six weeks and after six weeks they can fend for themselves.   Dogs can be territorial by urinating their territory.

Dogs are usually playful, like playing fetch.   Dogs can be learned for police work or can be used to help blind people.   Dogs eat dog food but also like meat, chicken and mince etc.   They also like treats but they can be scavengers and eat scraps of food.
