A Fish Tale My son Robin and his friend washed our fish’s tank out on Sunday. So I filled our bath with very cold water, but I didn’t know it had to be luke warm. Well I put poor Sammy, the fish, into the water. At first he was ok and each time he swam he went over on his side. I thought he was dead. One other time we did leave him in the kitchen and went up the stairs. Robin came down to find Sammy across the kitchen floor next to the bin. He almost put his foot on him. Well, that was another story, but now we have to go back to Sammy! After the tank was finished the boys put him back to his home. Sammy the fish loves his home. The next morning I was getting my breakfast. Robin was at school at the time, I put my eye on the tank. I could not believe it. Sammy was trying to tell me he did not like his new home. He came right up to the glass to tell me face first about four times. I had to move the toy that is in his tank, because he could not get over it or round it, so he tried to show me as well as telling me. I opened the lid. He let me put my hand in to move it. So he swam and then he came up the next time. He tried to tell me about the next toy at the other side of the tank and as well as before. He tried to tell me about this toy at the side of his tank, and he again went to the top of the toy and round it again about four times. I again put my hand in to move it, so he could swim around it and I moved it for Sammy. He came back to the tank to say thank you! So he was pleased with his new home. Fish and animals are very special, they are like people. They try to talk in a way so we can understand them. We have a cat and she is 13 and tells you what she thinks. They are so wonderful, little four legged friends and small fish. The end |
