It's a shame that more and more people think it's only safe to go out during the day.

Hopefully the longer nights will be with us and we can all enjoy a wee walk later on.

I've been down at the memorial centre and it's nice and peaceful down there.

What do other people think, contact us and let us know.

My Home Town

I've lived in Blantyre near Glasgow for some years now. When I came to Blantyre I remember how I thought it was a wonderful place because it had so many places of interest. In those days you could go for long walks in the evenings and enjoy the scenery, but nowadays I feel safer venturing out during the day.

One thing Blantyre is famous for, is being the birth place of David Livingstone, who was an Explorer and Missionary. There is a memorial centre built in the heart of Blantyre to show the people what kind of person he was and what kind of work he did in Africa. Although David Livingstone died in Africa his heart was buried in Africa 1873. He was brought back to Britain and he was buried with honours in Westminster Abbey in April 18th 1874.

As much as I like Blantyre if I ever win the lottery I would move away like a shot!
