A Story To Remember

The Princess and the Gnome

One sunny afternoon in the month of June, Princess Fiona was sitting in her garden drinking lemonade.  Her friend The Gnome came and sat beside her.  The Gnome said to Princess Fiona “Hello, how are you Princess?”

“Well” said Princess Fiona, “I had the most extraordinary dream.”

“Oh dear” said The Gnome.   “Tell me all about it.”

And so, the Princess began to tell The Gnome all about her extraordinary dream.

It all began when I was picking fresh flowers for mother from our palace gardens.  It was calm and peaceful and the sun was shining in the sky.  I was singing a song to myself when all of a sudden I heard rustling in the bushes.  So, I looked up and I saw a pirate’s ship on the beach.

I went over to investigate the rustling when suddenly a pirate jumped out of the bushes.

The pirate had lots of scars on his face and had a parrot on his shoulder.  He had a patch on one of his eyes.

He grabbed the princess put a gag in her

mouth and tied her up with a rope.

A giant frog in the lily pond heard the noise.   He saw the pirate throw the princess over his shoulder and he followed him down to

the pirates ship on the beach.  The pirates pulled up anchor and set sail for Pirate Island.

The frog swam behind the boat and watched the pirates

going ashore with the princess.

The pirate captain gave out the rum and eventually the pirates all fell asleep.

The frog came ashore and untied the Princess.  He told the princess to jump on his back and they swam back to the palace.

Mother and father were very happy to

see her. She told them all about her

adventure.

Then she woke up and realised it had all been a dream.

billy's ending

Princess Fiona was put into a sack and took from the palace down to the ship by the pirate.  The ship and the crew sailed to Hong Kong with the princess.

The Pirates went ashore to get food and water leaving one pirate to look after the princess.  The Frog stole a rowing boat and rowed out to the ship and climbed up the side of the ship.  The Frog crept along the deck, down into the hole and grabbed the princess and went back to the rowing boat.  They rowed into the sunset and lived Happily Ever After!

Then the Frog rescues them back to the palace again. Princess Fiona woke up and it was only a dream.

The end.

           john's ending

He was carrying a sward and guns and something red was tucked under his arm. When I asked him what he was doing in my garden, he replayed rather nervously “Ho, we are just… just…. Ad.. admiring your beautiful garden mam, with good intentions we mean no harm.” Then he suggested that I go with them to view their pirate ship and so off we went as the ship was rather close to the shore. I still felt safe once we were aboard the ship. The gangplank was lifted quickly.  “Anchors away” said the captain.  “Don’t worry mam” he said.  “Just a little voyage around the islands.  Won’t take too long.”

“Weren’t you frightened?”  said the Gonme

“Ho yes” said the princess.

“ Me too” said the little frog.  “Was there no-one there to help you?” said the Gnome  “Yes…  yes…  one of the pirates was very kind and good looking, for a pirate”  said the princess “Who was he?” asked the little frog “One of the pirates.  His name is Dominic.  It was he who persuaded the others  to take me back home by reminding them that it would be bad luck if they kept a women on the ship too long. They return me straight away and the captain ordered his crew “About turn! Back to the place we go men.”

“As we were returning, Dominic came and sat beside me and expressed his feelings for me. That he was in love with me. This being my very own feelings for Dominic.  And so here I am, safe and well.” Explained Princess Fiona.

Princess Fiona said  “I would like you both to come to my wedding!”  “Yes” said the Gnome and the Frog  “Who could miss a wonderful opportunity like this?”

And so the Princess and Dominic got married one year later and lived happily ever after.
