I am a Muslim and in my country of Pakistan we have three religious festivals. They are Eid-Ul Fetar, Eid-Ul Zoha, and Eid Melad-Ul Nabi.
Ramazan is also an important time in our calendar. At this festival of Eid-Ul-Fetar people give money to the poor people and offer Eid prayer.
Eid-Ul-Zoha is to celebrate the great sacrifice of Hazart Ibraheen who slaughtered his son to obey Alah.
Eid-Melad-Ul Nabi, is a day of celebration, of the birth of our Holy Prophet. On this day we decorate the houses with candles and lights. Every one has a fire work display and feast. This is a very happy time for all Muslims. All go to the mosque to pray and share friendship and people congratulate each other and wish each other good luck. |

Ms Azam, three of the four festivals you mention have ‘Eid’ and ‘Ul’ as part of their names. Does it mean Festival? Is there a literal translation? Contact us if you want to comment on this article. |
