Wheelie Wollie

Out into the circus arena stepped a boy who looked quite young.   On his head he wore a helmet, on his elbows, knees and hands he had protective pads.  Max and Lara were both wondering what he was going to do.

“Hi everyone, my name is Wheelie Wollie and I am your new act in the circus.  I am going to show you some stunts that I have been doing.” 

First of all Wheelie Wollie went and got a strange looking thing.  It was like a skateboard, but it only had one wheel on each end.  It is called a rip stick.  All the children watched with excitement as Wheelie Wollie jumped on his rip stick and went very fast.  Then suddenly did a double flip in the air.  The children cheered with delight at how clever Wheelie Wollie was.  

Wheelie Wollie then put on some roller blades.  He spun round and round, he skated very fast up a ramp, flew in the air and landed down another ramp.

The boys and girls shouted – "more, wow, fantastic."

At the end of his act Wheelie Wollie said to all the boys and girls.  “Please remember don’t try this at home, because it can be very dangerous”.

Wheelie Wollie got the biggest and loudest applause in the circus.
