This is from a group of family learners who have got together through the Community Learning Service, Home School Partnership and Libraries to do the following.

• Encourage/promote parents'/carers' confidence ability when reading to their child

• Promote family literacy

• Promote parents carers as the primary educators of their children

• To develop creative writing skills

• To encourage parents/carers to have fun with their children writing short stories

The Wizard Lost in Space

In deep space there was a big spaceship with aliens named Goz and Zog.

Goz was green, purple and red spots with ten eyes. Zog was purple, pink and ugly and on board was Alan the wizard who’d been abducted by Goz and Zog. Alan tried to do a “get me home spell, “ but it didn’t work, but after a while it worked but it didn’t really take him to where he wanted to go so he ended up miles from home in the Amazon

As soon as Goz and Zog realised he was gone they set a course for earth and arrived in time to save the silly wizard from drowning in the Amazon. Although Zog was ugly he had a heart of gold.
