My Family

I got married 30 years ago in Lesmahagow. It was a very small wedding in  Lesmahagow Registry Office on a lovely day in July. Both of us were very nervous and the bride was late. After the service I was so nervous that when the registrar told me to kiss the bride, I kissed her instead!

My wife works as a care worker in Lesmahagow, as a night shift worker. She also likes to go to the Bingo in Glasgow, She likes to make home-made soup and roast potatoes. Her cooking is excitingly crunchious.

My wife and I like to go out, and to go on holiday with the caravan. We also take our little grand-daughter Susan with us. She is seven years old. She has light brown hair and blue eyes. She likes to go swimming, and ice-skating. She likes to dance and to party when we are on holiday.

My daughter was born in Lanark’s William Smellie Hospital. Her name is Jane and her hair is brown. She likes to dance and joined a dance class also recently.

She is very close to her mum. When she was wee, she would not let her mum and dad sit together on the settee. Then one day she came home from school and said that she wanted her ears pierced and I said NO. But then I said to her, if she let me and mum sit together she could get her ears pierced, and she jumped at the chance. So after that we could sit together and have a kiss or two.

My son was also born in Lanark. His name is John and his hair is black. He likes fishing, ice-skating, kick-boxing and go-cart racing. My son attracts a lot of attention from the girls as he is extremely good-looking (just like his dad!)

Thank you for that Eddie.   I enjoyed reading about your family.  Especially the story of the ear piercing.  That was good thinking by you.
