Adult Learners Week

As part of the Adult Learners’ Week celebrations ‘Back to our Roots’ we have been investigating the history and art of quilting.

In years gone by poorer people used scraps of material sewn together to make a blanket to keep them warm at night.  The blanket is known as a quilt.

We have made five carry cot and cot quilts which we will donate to the Linus Trust who will pass them on to sick and needy children.
