That meal you describe is my favourite?

The soup would have had to have been potato or vegetable or perhaps tomato or lentil.   Am I right?

Even the shandies beat a whisky or brandy.

Thanks Anna.

Anna’s 70th Birthday

I went to Anne’s for my birthday lunch. We had homemade soup, potatoes and roast potatoes, sausages with a little pie and cabbage and carrot. To finish, we had ice-cream and jelly. I also had two big shandies.

Next, Jimmy and young Anne brought out a birthday cake. It was a sponge cake with icing that Anne made herself. It had a lot of little candles on the top and when I tried to blow them out I made a wish. But, guess what happened when I tried to blow them out? They came back in again and we all had a great laugh.
