Don’t be a “Taker” but be a “Giver”.

The year was 2005 and in June of that year I was made redundant after a total of 46 years working in engineering.  It was not long before I realised I had a problem writing in front of people.  At first I could not get a job so I took a course with ‘Creative Change’ which gave you the new procedures for seeking employment.  I found the course very helpful and this gave me confidence to go forward.  When I finished the course I pushed ahead with my writing skills.  I had many health problems as a child, which all has a bearing on my lack of spelling and writing skills which I am trying to make up now.

For about 3 years I have been going to the Adult Literacy Group run by South Lanarkshire Council.  My life time ambition was to write my testimonial and have it read in my local church.  I am very pleased to say I have accomplished this.

My Limerick
Victor and me we both agree
We don’t suffer fools willingly
So please watch out
If we’re about
We’d show you the door rapidly.

P.S.  If there’s something you want to achieve, don’t give up but keep trying.

Excellent George.

A lesson for all regardless.  How's about expanding on the ups and downs since 2005 and see what other people can associate with.
