A Short  Break.

My wife and I decided on going on a short break in the month of November.  Our holiday started on the 10th November and we left from Glasgow International Airport on route to Las Palmas Airport in Gran Canaria.  The flight took five hours.  When we arrived at the airport coaches were waiting to take us to our hotel, which was about 45 minutes journey.  On arrival at Suite Princess Hotel we were taken to our rooms which were on the 3rd floor.  We had a sea view from the room and there was also a balcony, which we took full advantage of when it came to taking photographs of the sun setting in the evening, before going to dinner which was any time between 6.30 – 9.30 p.m.

On the first day we went down for breakfast for 8.30 a.m. to enable us to get the best of the day at the pool.  There were no shortages of sun beds and we managed to anchor ourselves at the same spot every day.  The pool had a refreshment bar so your thirst was quenched by a short walk.  One of the facilities at the pool was a masseur and Elizabeth, my wife, said she would like a massage, but on condition that I did not tickle the side of her feet as the bed was in the open air and not far from where we were lying.

We met a number of people from Wales at the end of our short break.  I met the Area Manager from “Howdens” who worked in the Midlands area.  We had a lot in common as I was involved with engineering for 46 years.  My wife and I decided that ten days was order of the day and we would think about it when booking again in the future.  We are returning to Glasgow and the date is 17th November.

This is my first attempt at using the computer.

Thanks George.

Excellent use of the computer George and a good read too.

Liked the use of 'managed to anchor ourselves at the same spot every day'.
