Hide and Seek Once upon a time, when I was a wee girl, I and my sister and a few friends decided one evening that we would play hide and seek. It was about 7pm and nearly dark. Who wants to count first, I asked. My sister put her hand up. “Ok, stand over there and turn around and start counting.” We played hide and seek for about forty-five minutes and had lots of fun. My village didn’t have any street lights at this time though and it gets dark about eight o’clock so we had to give up on the game and go home when it got dark. As we were walking back home, my sister fell to the ground and just lay there, everyone was scared. We ran to my friend’s house to ask her mum for help. My friend’s mum and dad came out and carried my sister into their house. My friend’s mum and dad looked worried. Her mum said, I think I know what is wrong; a spirit has gone inside her body. My friend’s mum sprinkled holy water all over her body. The holy water was from our Buddhist temple. My sister started to shake all over and then she woke up ”what am I doing here, what is wrong with me?” My friends mum told my sister that she had fallen down on the road but that she was okay now. My sister sat up and was fine and then everyone walked us home. THE END |
